... because I have a fantastic guild on Earthen Ring, including miladyelizabeth. And I still don't have a single 70, so splitting my time between servers isn't wise.
Hate it though, I do like playing with people I know. Agree about Loch Modan with the beautiful scenery and the annoying quests. I nearly screamed Sunday trying to get the damn Lurker venom to drop from the three or four spiders that can drop it (killkillkillkill, wait forever for respawn, killkillkillkill, wait forever for respawn...) and that was after killing 30-40 ogres to get the Mo'grash crystal for the same quest.
I am *really* enjoying my shaman, though. The totems make a different kind of playstyle. Perhaps it helps that it reminds me very much of playing a Ritualist in Guild Wars (probably because ArenaNet copied the shaman to make Ritualists - it's really astonishing how much of Guild Wars that I thought was innovative is just Warcraft recycled, and not as good.) I'm speccing enhancement, and even at my lowly level 16 I can dish out some pretty serious DPS.
I'm mostly playing my paladin, though - kinda for the same reasons you posted, have a friend who's new to the game and we're playing a pair together. Not as well matched as warrior/priest, we're mage/paladin, but it's going pretty well, especially since I read some tanking guides and respecced (Still protection, but not stupidly allocated protection anymore.)
My main, gnome warlock Celadrithien, is kinda stuck in Hellfire Peninsula at 62 because she can't really solo there and I'm having trouble getting groups at the times I decide to play her. But she did get her Dreadsteed thanks to the guild, and feels very pimp. (The pimp hat from an early Outland quest helps.)
