I normally eschew this type of meme, but I couldn't help but admire the sentence:

If there is someone on your friends list you would love to have an epic, sweaty, damn near legendary, 12 hour, nitrous infused, wake up the neighbors, loud, hair-pulling, squirting, soul wrenching, exploratory, tongue up the ass, pile o boobies, pounding, body slappin', oh My God, explosive, cuddliscious, I'll even make you breakfast, fuckathon with, post this same exact sentence in your journal.

(In deference to my friends list, I will only post this once, and not once for every person on my list for which this is true. I think the people for whom this applies know who they are.<g> )

Rob, I find myself perplexed by the meme, more than anything else. Is the idea to tell your friends (how many? I have 38 by one count, 40 by the other) that you are *seriously interested* in one of them, but won't say which? I put this in the general category of "head games." I did tell one of my LJ friends (a woman -- and your "friends" who may read this should know that I'm a guy) that I had bought a "friendship" card 20 years ago, and realized that she was finally the first person to whom I could possibly send it, but because it was 20 years ago, I couldn't find the card! Outside: "I just can't put my finger on what I like about you." Inside: "I'd *like* to, but I don't think you'd *let* me!" She said, "Nate, you're a bad man!!!" Yeah, sometimes I am very proud....

I agree. I assume, because of his comment about "you know who you are", that I'm not one of them (Rob's the wrong gender anyway for me), but I can't see it doing anything other than confusion ("Am I really one of the people, and is he serious about it?").

The best policy is probably not to think too hard about it. It's more for amusement's sake than an attempt to convey a serious message.

For the record, I don't *do* head games; ask any of my sweeties and they will tell you. Due to past experiences, I find myself positively allergic to them. :\

As I said to Nate above, don't examine it too closely. I was mostly just amused at the sentence, not trying to convey any serious message.

If anyone did really wonder if they were "one of those people" and was curious to know, they're invited to ask. I think most of the people for whom this silly statment is true, though, are well aware of who they are. As ladyat has commented to me in the past, subtlty is not my strong suit. :)
