Sounds like it was handled a whole lot better by the hotel staff than the fiasco that ensued at OVFF several years ago, when Heather Alexander was the GoH. To recap the story: non-filkers were placed in the floor above con function space (Big Mistake! Big! Huge!), they complained to the hotel staff, and the hired security guard(s) booted us out of function space. We regrouped in the hotel lobby, at full volume with "March of Cambreath". And we haven't been back to that hotel since then.
Yeah, I missed GaFilk again. One of these years, my family and I might make it down. I keep thinking the roads (specifically, I-75) will be treacherous between Dayton OH and Atlanta GA.
