I use an IFTTT to crosspost from Instagram to my WordPress blog, and then a WP plugin called Social Networks Auto Poster (SNAP) to cross-post them to Dreamwidth.
It's a bit cumbersome, but it works. (I should not that, unfortunately, the Instagram links expire, so if you go back a couple of months in this blog, you find endless broken links. :/ I haven't figured out a way to post the actual *photo* across from Instagram, but at least it now has the text perma-link that *should* stay good, I hope. :/ )

It was only then I noticed that all the posts older than 30 days now had broken links, and found this was be design on IGs part, so I made sure to include the text permalink in my new template.)

Date: 2020-07-29 06:14 pm (UTC)I've ended up using Zapier to create an email, and then using DW's "Post by email" functionality. This gives me this.
I appreciate the warning about the instagram links expiring. A shame, but not the end of the world with the direct link going in there.
